Streth Therapy
a.k.a Assisted Stretching
WHAT IS STRETCH THERAPY?
Who:
Stretch therapy is for everybody — busy moms, athletes, desk workers, seniors, anyone under constant stress, stiffness, or just wanting to feel better in their body. If you’ve got musles, you can benefit… period.
What:
Stretch therapy is a hands-on fascia release where a certified stretch therapist (like me Koach Key) gently or firmly guides your body through targeted stretches to improve flexibility, mobility, posture, and muscle recovery.
How:
Through assisted stretching, we work with your breath, your nervous system, and your muscles/fascia to release tension. I move your body safely through its range of motion — sometimes holding, sometimes pulsing, sometimes activating muscles — depending on what you need.
How Often:
General wellness: 1× per week
Chronic tightness/posture issues: 1–2× per week
Athletes / people training consistently: 2× per week
Maintenance: every other week
(Consistency = results. The body LOVES routine.)
STRETCHING TECHNIQUES USED:
🟠 Static Stretching
Holding a stretch without movement (usually 20–60 seconds).
Purpose: Improve flexibility, calm the nervous system, lengthen muscles.
🟢 Dynamic Stretching
Controlled, moving stretches (leg swings, arm circles, hip openers).
Purpose: Warm up the body, increase blood flow, prep for workouts.
🔵 PNF Stretching (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation)
Contract → Release → Stretch method guided by a therapist.
Purpose: Deep flexibility gains, reprogram tight muscles, increase range of motion FAST.
🟣 Active Stretching
You engage one muscle group to stretch the opposite one.
Purpose: Build mobility, stability, and better body control.
🟡 Passive/Assisted Stretching
Therapist moves your body while you relax.
Purpose: Release deep tension, correct posture, improve mobility.
🟤 Myofascial Stretching
Slow, sustained stretches targeting fascia (the connective tissue).
Purpose: Reduce stiffness, improve posture, enhance movement quality.
